Dr. Danielle Atwood is a highly skilled and compassionate fellowship-trained plastic surgeon dedicated to enhancing the confidence and well-being of her patients. While the field of medicine can be a sterile and uncomfortable experience, Dr. Atwood’s aim is to build relationships to provide an empathetic and comfortable space to discuss patients’ individual goals to enhance their features while remaining true to each person.
A native of central Arkansas, Dr. Atwood pursued her passion for medicine and surgery starting at the University of Central Arkansas earning Bachelor’s degrees in Biology and History. She then pursued dual degrees, MD and PhD in Microbiology, at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences where she graduated with honors and was inducted into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society.
She completed her integrated Plastic Surgery residency at the University of Missouri in Columbia, MO, one of the first five integrated programs in the country. She initially began training in Orthopaedic Surgery, however quickly realized her true calling lay in the artistry of Plastic Surgery. Upon transferring to Plastic Surgery, she gained extensive experience in a wide range of plastic and reconstructive procedures. To further refine her expertise in the field of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, Dr. Atwood pursued additional training in a fellowship in Aesthetic Plastic Surgery at LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans, Louisiana. During this year, she honed her skills in the latest techniques and innovations with the leaders in the field of Plastic Surgery, ensuring she brings her patients the most advanced and effective options available. During this time, she also had the honor of being an attending staff plastic surgeon at the Southeast Louisiana VA hospital. Here, she was privileged to take care of our nation’s service men and women.
As a mother herself, Dr. Atwood understands the unique needs of women and the natural changes the body undergoes over time. Her personal experiences and professional expertise make her uniquely qualified to provide compassionate, personalized, and judgement-free care. Dr. Atwood is committed to helping her patients achieve their aesthetic goals, boost their confidence, and enhance their quality of life.

In her free time, Dr. Atwood enjoys being outdoors, traveling, festivals, and most of all, spending time with her two young sons, husband, two dogs, and family.
